The possibilities are endless when it comes to adding some glitz and glamour to your website. Kathleen offers special features that include both visitor and staff interactivity.
Websites can be interactive mediums as well as one-way information-giving sites. Your website may benefit from a shopping cart, a journal or blog, or online registrations. Some of these you or your staff can take care of yourself. Just ask.

Mountain View Regional Waste Management CommissionAs an avid recycler myself, I really enjoyed working on the new website for the Mountain View Regional Waste Management Commission, the organization that coordinates the disposal of solid waste for Carstairs, Cremona, Didsbury, Olds, Sundre, and Mountain View County. The website has been online since the fall of 2009 and basically answers questions residents have about waste disposal, recycling, and composting. Each page features recycling tips, and the photo gallery shows the level of growth and accomplishments the Commission has had since it was initiated in 2001. As a publicly funded entity, the website also serves as a place to inform the taxpayers through the posting of minutes from meetings, as well as articles from the local newspapers concerning their program. This is one website residents from the area should visit regularly, if for no other reason than to remind themselves about the importance of reducing, reusing, and recycling.

Keep your homepage small so that it loads quickly -- under 15 seconds is a goal worth aiming for. This will hook the visitor. Think twice about putting that 90K GIF on your home page. Remember that yours is only one of millions of sites, and that websurfers have short attention spans.

What I'm Working On
While I work on new websites pretty much every month, the bulk of my work is in the almost daily maintenance of websites for current clients, and managing their Social Media programs. We have put the finishing touches on a redesign for Transfeeder and expect to launch that site soon. Bill and Joel are preparing another upgrade to our Music Festival Suite program, readying a special offering for the 2020-2021 season for 38 music festivals across the country (all also dependent on "covid cancellations" in each province).
